Republicans already told us this out loud. They aren't trying to hide it. It's the entire point of the plan and they are proud of it. Why do we need a whistle blower?

"Whitsleblower" helps make the non-fascists feel like they struck a blow and trickle feeds hope to keep them docile. It reinforces the illusion that there are consequences and that truth matters.
Simultaneously, "whistleblower" makes it seem nefarious. An affront to decorum. Disrespectful toward the rules. And gives the fascists an excuse to "hit back".
By employing a "whistleblower" you generate news articles that can engage both sides.
