I'm not trying to defend pesticides here...I'm sure we rely way too heavily on them....but it seems to me that if 60% of the fatalities are in one country, that more likely means the problem is industrial safety practices (or something similar), and not the pesticides, wouldn't it?

I don't think anybody is surprised that poison can kill people. But it seems like some people may be getting a bigger dose of poison than others, and that's probably a big part of the problem...
