Democracy is hard work and takes moment of courage to defend and maintain its institutions. Brazil has a lot to teach say the US about democracy which is not something I expected to say 2 decades ago.

I hope we still have military leaders who will refuse to commit treason when the time comes. We won't have many, Hegseth has fired nearly everybody, but at least our side has a LOT of experienced military leaders who hate MAGA.
