It goes to show how chaotic global warming is/will be. We were told that the east coast would get more hurricanes and warmer winters. Those predictions have proven true. But now we also get polar vortices and unusually low-activity/late hurricane seasons (probably thanks to el niño). These events then overshadow the slower steady warming (which is actually lightning-fast compared to other climate changes humans have lived through).
