Café William, a Quebec based B Corp making sustainable, fair trade coffee, ships their coffee with cargo sailboats. Their 4th voyage took place this month and just arrived a few days ago

I looked them up after they were mentioned in this week's amazing race episode. I don't have experience with the coffee itself, but what I found cool was this:

Transport

Cargo Sailboat

It began as a bold idea. Daring, ambitious, maybe even a little bit wild. Now our cargo sailboat carries coffee beans from Colombia to Quebec, steering our mission to craft the world’s most sustainable coffee.

For the fourth time, our coffee will make its way from the Caribbean by sail, reducing transportation-related emissions by 80%. This year marks our largest shipment yet: 1,000 tonnes of green coffee will make the crossing.

On August 6, 2026, our team and ambassadors will come aboard. Follow along for a behind-the-scenes look at life at sea, navigation and the challenges of the open ocean.

Based on this post, the shipment arrived this week: https://www.instagram.com/p/Dc4ayobMrC9

After 22 days at sea, our organic and fair-trade coffee beans, sourced from cooperatives in Colombia and Honduras, have arrived in Montreal aboard the cargo sailship Neoliner Origin and have been unloaded!

To celebrate their arrival, we had the pleasure of bringing together partners, collaborators and coffee enthusiasts at the @portmtl to mark this important milestone in the journey of our beans!

Next stop: roasting Alizé coffee in Sherbrooke, using our electric industrial roaster. ⚡
