Steve Jobs died an early death because he believed a holistic approach would cure his cancer better than what the doctors advised. He unfortunately did realize too late about how wrong he was. Perhaps the moral of the story is that rich people don't fucking know everything and we shouldn't trust them to dictate policy because they got rich.

Nah, rich people are genereally really fucking dumb. The only reason they have money is because they're lucky, and our system is set up to advantage the wealthy to the point that it's hard for them to bankrupt themselves
Whilst I fully agree with the second part of your second sentence my almost 50yrs of living on this planet has shown me that, in my personal experience, the rest of what you wrote is incorrect.
Yes, he had excellent odds of beating it, but rich people are DEEPLY convinced they are clever and there's some secret to the universe and cancer is probably easy to beat if you just eat exotic sounding things all day, but people in Peru die of cancer also even if they eat 'jungle super foods' all day.
Yeah he ended up getting an organ transplant to extend his life. Which he wouldn't have needed had he gotten actual medicine from the start. He was able to get the transplant because he was on every waiting list in the US, which he could do because he had a private jet.
That is an accurate depiction of every Batteries Plus I've ever been in. A unit in a strip mall between a strip club and a pawn shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina previously used as a bat sanctuary staffed by a 22 year old that knows more about DC power than Thomas Edison ever did.

Honestly, I don’t think that was a rich person thing, per se. I think it’s more about not knowing the limitation of your expertise.
I know an oncologist, but I wouldn’t let her anywhere near my laptop. Fortunately she’s aware enough to know she ain’t built that way.
