China has left the world in its dust.

I doubt any US OEMs survive globally in ten years, and the seizure of Venezuelan oil fields will simply lead to stranded investments in an increasingly irrelevant commodity.

That's true of basically everything Trump admin has done so far. Short-term marginal gains at the cost of setting up a ticking bomb for the next presidential admins. USAID slashing, R&D slashing, humanitarian Ukraine aid slashing, food stamps gone, etc.
