Star Trek Collection Communi-Grater

Easy to Clean

Look at all those extra nooks and crannies! The surface may be non-porous or whatever, but I wouldn't call that item "easy to clean"

gnufuu@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 1d

Also, the pun is ok but not $68 grate.

negativenull@piefed.world · 4 pts · 1d (2 replies)

Yeah, no way I'd actually use that one.

SatyrSack@quokk.au · 6 pts · 1d (1 reply)

That is also a lot of money for a purely functional tool. $68.00, I assume USD, which is 58.51 EUR. Everything else here, I can imagine using to serve a dish to guests, acting as a conversation piece. But do you ever grate things as a finishing touch at the time of serving, not back in the kitchen while preparing the dish? This seems like a tool that would be kept in the kitchen and would never be seen by guests, in which case it's really not any better than a cheap/functional grater.

Your guests dont hang out in the kitchen? Or is that a Midwest US thing?

Its so common here that its expected to keep your kitchen clean when guests come because they will be spending time there.

Where's the DS9 mug?

.... and on another note, if Odo were to shapeshift into your mug ... would you be drinking from his mouth? or the other end?

gnufuu@lemmy.ca · 8 pts · 1d

For that price you'd expect that stuff to be made of actual latinum

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2d (4 replies)

That mug is disturbing, not to mention missing something:

The Klingon pot holds Gagh really well

gnufuu@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 1d

There is no honour in cooking gagh

SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1d (1 reply)

Free refills? Quark would never.

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1d

The mug costs 2000 gold pressed latinum. Free refills of drinks don't matter at that point.

The klingon one is meh, because klingons don't cook their food.

But if I gatekeep that too hard we get less cool stuff, sooo... I'll allow it 🤣

anakin78z@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1d

OK, that shuttle dish is really tempting.

ToiletFlushShowerScream@piefed.world · 6 pts · 2d

It's amazing what what AI can do these day....

  • Oh shit it's REAL!
AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1d

Oh dear. That "spoon rest." I'd rather have clean counters, thanks. The brasier and crock pot look cool. Hopefully I can find them at a garage sale in 10 years or so. Shuttlecraft also looks functional.

verity_kindle@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 1d

It looks cheap and hacky, except for the shuttlecraft.

Throbbing_banjo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 1d (1 reply)

Holy fuck, those prices lol.

That Klingon braiser is pretty cool, but not $450 cool.

anakin78z@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1d

That's just their regular prices. I'm actually shocked they didn't increase the price.
