Day 784 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing

Today’s game is Mario Kart 64. You know what I had? A bunch of cool stuff about Pokemon Platinum I was going to share. My flash cart though isn’t a fan of taking screenshots when the screenshots Archive was made on the 3DS and I switched it back to my DS Lite. So basically all the ones I took were gone. Thankfully, I was uploading some stuff to my Jellyfin server and was playing Mario Kart 64 while waiting. So I have that to talk about.

Namely these hills. I was playing time trials and got distracted looking at them. I’ve never stopped to look at them really before outside of with freecam I think. It’s just interesting. They’re striped, despite the main ground not being so and it being something the player would probably never notice. Then again, if it got added I have to imagine someone noticed it. Maybe someone was driving past during play testing and thought they were sparse.

This one is a lot less interesting but I was playing Yoshi Valley, and I realized the fall is super fucking long. Like a good 5 seconds of Toad just tumbling down the side of the wall screaming for his life. It’s comedic, though I have to imagine it’s pissed someone out there off before.

Anyways. I just ended up tossing the time trial idea out the window when playing and gazing at the world. These Penguins have always been super satisfying to me for example. Just a thought I had when I stopped and looked at them.

I wish I had gotten those Platinum Screenshots. But this was interesting to think about and write down and share. So I guess it worked out in the end. Maybe they’re buried somewhere on the card. I’ll have to look later.
