I bought a costco pack of kirkland signature branded claritin. It takes makes allergies a little better but not fixed. I would like to try xyzal but feel like I need to power through this huge quantity that I already purchased.
Claritin, as an artifact of the approval process for the drug (due to it being one of the early second generation anti-histamines), does not reccomend a dose which is sufficient to work for most people. Taking 2 can work, but risks drowsiness similar to benedryl and other first generation anti histamines. Claritin is basically designed to barely work when taken as instructed. I reccomend other "second gen" options like Zyrtec or Allegra.

Claritin has never worked for me either. Offbrand Xyzal kinda works. Benedryl works, but is the nuclear option since it wipes me out for several hours

Try different types until you find some that work.
Talk to an allergist. Figure out what you’re most allergic too, so you can avoid it. There are therapies now that can fix your allergic reaction.
