Sometimes rape (they were penetrated with objects) and abuse are treated like big jokes as they happen, so the victims are prevented from coming forward knowing that the response to them will be laughter. I'm glad they came forward.

I stopped watching hockey after the Olympics last season. I was planning on watching again this season, but reading this makes me question again whether watching sports is worth it.

yes, people for a very long time have minimized and dismissed this style of sexual assault, rape, and battery by calling it hazing.
