Well that was an experience I wasn't expecting. The 48 tram from Spring St to the G was PACKED with people going to the game - which starts at 10 am????
Been on Ozbargain recently and saw Snowgum had a bunch of things on clearance. $100 later and there are new hats for the whole family, these funky all in one sporks, a camping/travel cutlery set and some socks
It's my โshit pay" (non supplement) week so there's not much planned at all. Just cleaning and relaxing and dealing with the kids complaining about it ๐
Honestly though, I'll take good footy anywhere I find it. My Dad was an umpire when I was growing up, so game day is just part of the rhythm of my week
This weekend - basic survival shopping and try to recover enough from this lurgi to do some gardening. Dins tonight was ramen noodles with leftover veg & a couple of bacon rashers. Put some yoghurt in the soup and this actually elevated the whole thing quite a lot. Will try that again.
Fried up some leek and mushrooms, then added jar of red sauce. Serve with plenty of parmesan on top. Wash delish. Reading Mythos by Stephen Fry. I didnโt really know much about the Greek myths and Stephen Fry does a fun job of describing them, would recommend.
These days I don't mind an inspection, it's kind of the kick I need to clean some spaces I might otherwise neglect.
I need to get back to Duolingo for some Korean - lightly looking at a trip to SK next year. I know it's not great o really learn things, but it does help with the very basics and that's an excellent jumping off point for me!
It's beautiful out there, I keep finding excuses to go outside (not that I really need one, I'm on my own so could go lie in the driveway if I really wanted!)
Played some Sprawl Zero. It's a love letter to early 00's shooters. I might need to bump up the difficulty because there are all these abilities and you can only heal by using them, but I don't feel like I'm popping them off out of necessity yet

I've had a very draining day and will have a very busy weekend, but for now I'm fortifying myself with peanut M&Ms

Absolute tangent here and a little known useless fact:
The 48 arrives almost a minute before the 109 when going from the CBD to Kew junction.
Everyone can thank me later. I spent many sleepless nights working that out.

What are we all up to tonight? I have zero plans this weekend so am enjoying some wine, some gaming and some YT.

I've watched a very interesting half of footy, but know I won't last the other half. It's bedtime
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 1 pts · 5d
Sleep is very important!! Can't say I'd know an interesting half of footy if it kicked me up the arse - mind if I ask which team you go for?

Tonight is a nice home cooked dinner and interesting double feature: Coal Minerโs Daughter and Straight Outta Compton.
Tomorrow, The clan is descending on Bendigo for a boozy lunch at Terrae.
Sunday will be a write off
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 5d
Terrae looks interesting, let us know how it goes! I grew up in Bendigo but have never looked into their fine dining scene.

Nothing interesting. Cooked gnocchi for dinner, bit of reading, then bed.
SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 1 pts · 5d
What kind of sauce or flavouring did you have with your gnocchi? What are you currently reading?

Agent 64 is one you may like.
It's a take on that very specific Goldeneye/Perfect Dark era of shooter development, and is a lot of fun
