Any constructive criticism is more than welcome, I have no idea what I'm doing. I started my transition in January at 40, and now I'm just finally starting to get comfortable pushing more femme. I still hate my frog mouth and saggy cheeks but it's getting better every day with HRT and actually taking care of myself. I'm pretty happy with today's results and wanted to share.

IMO it looks like you're doing great. I keep wanting to take selfies because I think I look okay in the mirror, but my phone makes me look terrible. doesn't seem like a problem for you. you're gorgeous!

Yes, well this is the best photo of about 30, lol. Natural light helps a lot. I often think I look okay in the mirror, take a selfie, and make a stinky face at my phone when I see it. Thanks, the compliment means a lot!

Love the hair color. With such a color and a good base you have (great skin!), try some browns and pinks. Don't go too harsh on the liner. Really go all in on making those peepers pop! ❤️

Almost totally unrelated, but there's a video I watched a while back about a person who paints Warhammer Minis with developing Parkinson's.
I wonder if maybe any of their techniques could apply to your situation!

You got the shape of the winged eyeliner perfect! I think it would look even more striking in a darker black or a bright pink/purple to match your hair (one of my favorite hair colors btw). Foundation looks great, your skin looks really smooth :) Maybe next step would be to play with some highlighter and blush if you're into it?

Thank you! Yes, today I did the wing in eyeshadow with an angled brush, made the shape much easier, very happy with that. I've been messing with several different eyeliners (kohl, cream, liquid) and while I like the darker color it's so much harder to work with on the wing, especially the liquid. I'll continue to experiment. I've considered a purple eyeshadow but the liner is an interesting idea too, maybe layer it on the black. Something like this or this maybe? I have no idea how they get those straight edges.
I'm always so hesitant to go less subtle, I always feel like I look like a clown lol. And I'm old, I'm not a teenager anymore as much as I wish I were. I wanna work on adding more drama though for going out, purple would be good for that. Maybe a smoky eye look too. And yes, purple is my favorite color!
I haven't found a color of blush that I like yet, I started with more pink but I've been moving toward darker berry colors, again I fear the clown look. Highlighter isn't something I've played with at all, I'll look into it!
