In addition to the usual problems with Fandom that can be mitigated by using Ublock Origin filters or sites like https://antifandom.com/, the Stargate Fandom wiki is frustrating because it has all sorts of non-canon information from the extended universe novels, comics, RPG manuals, etc. right alongside everything else in each article. This information even displaces canon information in places (the wiki goes so far as to insist that Michael's name is actually "Lastlight", the Gamekeeper is actually an android, and all sorts of other nonsense). At least for the Star Trek Fandom wiki, the non-canon stuff is hidden under the "Apocrypha" section at the bottom of each article. But the Stargate Fandom wiki's non-canon info is just mixed in with everything else. Any time I see some fact mentioned, I have to check for a citation to see if that fact actually came from an episode or if it came from a novel or something.
Gateworld is often a useful resource for Stargate info, but it definitely has less information about every subject. Even canon information that I genuinely do want to see, the Fandom wiki unfortunately often answers questions for me that the corresponding Gateworld article does not touch upon at all.

It's a Fandom wiki. What you are looking for is a Canon wiki.

But yeah, Fandom sucks. Miraheze / independent wikis are better.

My quality of life improved dramatically when I blocked fandom domains. Now no matter what the search, I get other wiki's, which are always better.

In the triple dots on the top of duckduckgo.com searches, you can block the domain from future searches. Depending on your browser, you may need to make an exception for Duck Duck Go to keep track of the cookie for that.

Unfortunately, that won't help the non-canon issue explained here. That site just gets all its info by scraping Fandom, so you still end up with articles full of the same non-canon nonsense.

If all the sources are official products, why are some sources "canon" and others not? Why does it matter if something came from a TV episode or from a novel.
You mentioned the Star Trek wiki, but there was a deliberate choice made to split that into Alpha and Beta canon based on the sources involved.
This kind of decision usually comes from the creators, or at least from whoever owns the IP (like when Disney split off the old Star Wars canon as "Legends"). As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been a similar decision with Stargate.
