Also Gibson said in the past that he was happy for Neuromancer to be a book and maybe a video game, but not made into a 'Hollywood Property". He could have changed his mind, or thought it would make a great troll in his later years( he is famous for trolling the CBC in the late 60's about what life was as a barefoot hippie that shared everything with strangers played by all his friends) but when he wanted something made into a movie or a TV show it was. Except Irodru for some reason.
Not true. Not even in the slightest. Unless you are part of the people who don't believe that just under 70% of Jewish Americans aren't with the Israeli Genocide, and that includes the Jewish People who have influence in Hollywood. If you are anti-Jew I am not going to agree with you.
That is where a decent community helps, but doesn't get rid of the problem. Most of my help was around software and people having issues and having worked in that field I just avoid posts with certain warning signs or ones that trigger me. Also helps that I block and avoid accounts and subreddits that set me off. Mind you I have quit reddit for Lemmy once only to find the contests that were on reddit that were appearing on Lemmy were bot posts and not valid, so I had to rejoin and my original username and karma reset.
Company and community subreddits for products I use and contests/giveaways. Also there are people on there I can help that I used to do in a professional way, but because of my health, don't anymore, and it gives me a sense of... accomplishment? Constructive and creative fulfillment that people on Lemmy just don't need/seek out.

I will still wait for the Linux Port of Playnite.Link . It is awesome on windows and is OSS, and they are finalizing a complete Linux rewrite as we are speaking so during the next release, Playnite 11, the Linux version should come out. Themeable, Extensible, and it has a good community.
This is why I haven't trusted the TPM/UEFI & Secure Boot Ecosystem and refused to upgrade my Windows 10 installs to 11 but 10 LTSC, not to mention after a decade of health problems that kept me from using Linux which I had been dabbling in for a few years and using Linux based tools professionally, was one of the reasons that I said " $&#* it, and if I am going to have to spend all this time hacking around my Windows OS to keep it usable and local, I may as well break down and move to Linux!!!".
Its not "Search and Siezure" it is "Searches" and "Siezures". It violates the "Searches" part and the only way to work around is a warrant. A "search" is not only to search a person's house, but to subject a person to being followed and tracked day in and out needs a Judicial Warrant in most circumstances because you are violating the subjects right to privacy.
In the case of Flock they could set up cameras and have trained people watch them, and that is iffy at that, but once it is autommatically stored and cataloged everything everyone does and where they go, and can be used to unwind everything a person does quite litterally like Big Brother, and then you can put that in a data base where the police can litterally do fishing expeditions after the fact to make a case, or the AI can just spit out a name that got a well known car reviewer seconds away from getting his life ended by a police officer because it mixed his plate with annother, that is an entirely different kettle of fish.
I is like the famous saying of the head of the Polish Secret Police "You show me the man and I will show you the crime". It is because of this you have a right to not talk to the police and legally speaking any little thing you say or respond to "...can and will be used against you in a court of law.". If you try hard enough you can come up with multiple crimes for anyone.
