When did this community become a troll fest? Downvoting and trolling legitimate bug reports? I understand that there are some really dumb and entitled posts here but why target posts identifying legitimate platform bugs/issues? Should we all just shut up and go to our corners so as not to disturb you? Did I disrupt the latest bitch fest about how "bad the new text generator is" or get in the way of somebody's flagrant advertising? This clique-ish mentality is ridiculous on a platform that should be about cooperative learning and creation. It's become a sad place when all people do is denigrate and attack each other. Please feel free to prove my point by downvoting and trolling the shit out of this post. Have a nice day 😁

Perhaps it’s simply "anti-AI" people who are intentionally downvoting helpful posts. Artists who can't charge exorbitant prices for a picture, for example.

Yeah, some general Anti-AI mentality is to be expected. It's like that in a lot of public internet places. Also feels to me like this community has an unusually high rate of bot activity... Dunno if that has to do with anything.

The creator of perchance got sick of reddit and it corporateness so he wants people to use lemmy instead .but lemmy is not very popular there is still more interesting discussion going on on the perchance subreddit .while this part of lemmy is fine the community on the rest of lemmy is everything wrong with reddit x1000 .with a lot of toxic people that don't even care about the freedom this site has .they probably would have banned perchance off lemmy if they could .but the creators of lemmy made a smart system so they cant get rid of us and we are in our own bubble .the ai hate is very strong on reddit and way stronger here on lemmy. these guys dont care about our arguments and dont just ignore us but want to punish us just for using ai and have 0 tolerance. they should probably just add a forum on perchance itself to filter out the anti ai people

As I already wrote: these are definitely artists who can no longer charge €/$1,200 (or whatever) for a single image. For that kind of money, I could watch the same movie in the theater multiple times - spending even less in the process - and get 200 minutes of moving Movie to boot.

Basically all posts here are downvoted every morning/evening when I check in. It seems like either a bot reaction or someone who's extremely dedicated to fuel their hate to the Perchance comm on Lemmy.
And as a OT comment related to the other comments; why did the owner decide to switch to Lemmy in the first place? Although I understand, and personally appreciate the choice, it certainly lost a lot of information and engagement. Especially since said owner seems to be this mysterious, unkown ninja that works in the shadows and magically summons code that is questioned by its userbase for months, if not years at this point (based of my own experience).

There's a note somewhere in reddit, Lemmy (yes, just right here!!!! And I'm lazy to find) or the hub (errr....) saying Reddit is becoming not friendly to developer(s).
What's inconvenient I guess is about moderation? But reddit mods seems fine and reddit isn't a battlefield. Chinese wumao? Censorship? Not seeing much. Also might not be Chinese sponsored = bad because deepseek!!! Cannot fetch reddit forum post and showing in the hub? This is the biggest culprit because I see Lemmy and another form post are being displayed there, so indeed reddit is unsupportive. But wait, the hub says it's the ultimate home(oh no), so it's a evidence neglecting events of sequence. If reddit pissed us but the reason is we can't use it in somewhere else back then when we don't even migrate to that somewhere yet??? It doesn't make sense so IDK.

I think they are genuine hater/rival/trolls, which means they are actually not part of community, unless you are counting they in to make a civil war.

There's no way to identify/get rid of/stop the 5 downvote right now for this post, for example.
I'd think that's not valid voting and unless the voting system stop showing there is no strong counter measure.
So if we cares the votes the troll wins. Not saying everyone should just neglect the votes but it's what currently is.

I don't know if Lemmy can do this but I think stop showing score below 0, is reasonable and the most immedate useful option, if Lemmy even has that option? Since it's battle tested in reddit (the irony lol)

This is the reason I left Lemmy and went to Reddit. Created my own sub for users of Perchance's AI Helper, and haven't had any problems. I even had some fun with the decidedly anti-ai folks on r/ZombieSurvivalTactics, which drove traffic to my Great Chats gen like crazy.
