Its a reddit problem they have become very censored the owner of perchance is trying to get people to use lemmy instead. but people don't want to join it since its confusing and most of lemmy is a toxic political dumpster fire
Yea lemmy has failed as a reddit alternative too many toxic users .i bet all the downvoting and pdf file rumors is just from people who hate ai .i would think it may be other ai sites who want to take out the competition. but lemmy is not relevant enough for that to matter
today it seems like the quality is much worse the last few weeks it has been slightly worse but today it has been total garbage. but you are talking about an update that happened over 1 year ago when perchance was way worse at generating images of anything interesting. right now it seems to be almost as bad as that version. but that was one year plus ago. over the last year the quality has been fluctuating between good and bad it seems to be different every time
He probably just hates ai . perchance started in 2017 and was not about ai but the dev decided to add some surprisingly impressive ai features. and this angered some of the old users despite it being great use of ai compared to most other ai sites that are more greedy and uncreative with it . some people really hate everything associated with ai regardless of what it does.
i got something similar when i made too many characters so had to abandon some .fortunately i had an older back up so i didn't lose them all only a few but i need to make less characters
I am not sure i agree that lemmy has a mostly crap community but unlike reddit downvotes don't actually matter so its a good alternative to reddit for this. even if this is the only part of lemmy that i am active on. everything else is like the worst of reddit on steroids but at least it doesn't have reddits biggest flaw (carma) as well as less censorship in theory but this is part of lemmy .world so they can enforce some rules on here so they should have made their own lemmy instance but that is harder to do. but its weird how a platform that is made to be less censorable is mostly used by people who are pro censorship .
i noticed my old exported files are a lot bigger than the newer ones and they are corrupted and i forgot what was in there .i do remember making less chracters but the chats were much longer .i am not sure if they are actually corrupted or not compatible with the new perchance it would suck if that was the case. i use the brave browser and opera but i want to stop using opera
It really sucks at that stuff you can try an image to prompt tool like this https://imagetoprompt.org/ since some stuff does work on perchance but it can be hard to describe it in a way the ai understands. but many uncommon positions will turn into a glitchfest regardless or the image to prompt can't tell what is going on. and if you are desperate you can use the reference image on another site with image to image like this https://www.nsfwlover.com/nsfw-image-edit and then edit the image until you get what you want but this sometimes fails if you make too many changes
You know i never thought this and some of the other cliche stuff perchance says was a big deal. since it fits what i do with perchance most of the time. but apparently it says this stuff all the time even when it makes no sense
They used stable diffusion and from what i remember it was shit .most characters were super deformed and don't even think about doing anything apart from having the character standing around or sitting down .i always used the drawn anime art style because everything else looked uncanny
perchance was founded somewhere in 2017 or 16 but had no ai support until 2022 or 2023 . back then it was just a site were you could make and sare random text generators that were quite simplistic. but it was owned by the same guy most of that stuff is still on the site .when i started using it in 2024 the image generation was way worse. before 2016 the perchance org was owned by the green party of Ontario in Canada in 2013. and some german it company in 2009. right now ai video ganeration requires powerful hardware and judging from how bad the competition is and the fact that anything uncensored will have to deal with obstacles the censored ones don't have to deal with. it will probably take a few years i do believe it will come eventually but not soon maybe in 2030 or later
i tried to make something similar and it seems to work fine i just entered "a man sucking a woman's nipples" the only blocked word i found so far is a certain slur that is similar the Spanish word for black
They also really need to bring back the weights or whatever its called because there is so much stuff just i can't make right now because it prioritizes the wrong stuff and think "a lot" means slightly more than normal
Yea but if i wanted to add text to my images it could just do it the old way its really easy its all the other stuff that is hard/impossible without ai
Yea its a big downgrade simple images are fine but i can't see any improvements there is nothing this version can do that the old one can't just more limitations. some people mention text on the images is better but this is pointless because 1 i know how to do add that stuff the old school way. and 2 with the hard token Limit if you do that it will probably fuck up the art i am hopeful this will be fixed
