Looks like some Temu bullshit specifically designed to obliterate fingers.

Thing is, they don't do the same thing entirely. You can look at the machine results and tell that it's essentially like cube steak. A hammer gives a more even surface, and more control, even though it may not seem like it on first glance. Most cuts of meat aren't uniformly thick or dense. Even stuff like a filet mignon has minor variances, but you wouldn't use either tool on those unless you like wasting money.

Nah, a pork cut like that, each tool has benefits. You select the one that fits your desired outcome. But chicken? The machine will not do a good job at all on a breast or thigh.

Besides, the barrier to entry is massively different. A good hammer is maybe thirty or forty bucks. That's what just the attachment runs, but the stand mixer is going to set you back a couple hundred.

The attachment is interesting as hell, and if you want it, have fun! I ain't gonna go food snob about whether or not whatever it is will be "good". But it will be different

I wonder how hard that attachment is to clean.

Just put it under the sink and turn the KitchenAid on full speed. Wallah

This is exactly what I thought when I was watching lol. Honestly it looks pretty easy, just detach and soak for a few min. Ive seen a lot worse ones to handle. I bet thats why the one side isnt covered except with that plastic piece so it's easy to get the inside cleaned.

I have the pasta roller attachments and little bits of dough like to go inside. There's no way to open them to get the dough out and it says "do not submerge" so I can't even soak them. They just permanently rattle with the dried bits of pasta that are too big to shake out of the gaps.

They're asking how hard it would be to clean the attatchment that you hook into your kitchen aid mixer.

A hammer is not very hard to clean, but as you add complexity things usually get harder to wash

I get that, it looked like the hammer just in a roll form. How messy are your meats?
