I love the multiple pairs of skid marks leading up to it. By about the time the thought forms, "I wonder what that's about" the wall comes into view

They're like bloodstains in Souls games. Ominous foreshadowing

Whoever failed to put up safety markers closing those lanes well ahead of the concrete barrior should be in jail for attempted murder.

floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 22 pts · 1d (3 replies)

Looks like Chinese or Japanese on the signs to me

f314@lemmy.world · 36 pts · 1d (2 replies)

Probably China, then, since they seem to be driving on the right side of the road.

whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 1d (1 reply)

I thought China was also driving on the wrong side?

Nope, it's India, which make sense with the Brits and stuff

brosaph@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 1d

Hong Kong drives on the left, mainland drives on the right.

This is what it's like playing racing games on PS1

Something similar happened to me once. It was 4am and I was about to enter a construction zone. I saw hazard lights and a stopped semi up around a bend so I move off into the contraflow lane to avoid what I assumed was an accident.

Suddenly a concrete barrier out of nowhere, which I very narrowly missed, forcing me out of the contraflow lane. Cut to driving through a debris field, and when I get to the stopped semi, I see what had happend. It wasn't hazard lights. It was fire. The left side of the semi was torn up. He had hit the concrete divider where the contraflow lane starts effectively closing it.

I probably would’ve hit the wall
