So the big thing about iOS 27 is the Duo stuff. That’s the meat and potatoes of the update. If you aren’t getting one, you get some refinements. Keyboard is still trash.
And as someone who's been in the beta since day one, the new Siri is much ado about nothing. Influencers are singing its praises, but that's what they're paid to do. It's still dead last in the AI race. It still doesn't understand basic context. It's actually kind of annoying, Spotlight used to search the web, now it just asks Siri, and if you disable this, you also lose CarPlay. So I've stuck Safari on my dock and I just go there to search the web.
Apple releases used to be exciting but now I dont really care anymore because new releases just mean something gets broken, dumbed down, made more complicated, or more difficult. Apple stopped making changes for improvement sake, and started making changes for change sake (ie. Tahoe). That's the point where a compant has passed its peak. Now they're on the AI bandwagon, because, wtf else is there to do, right? And ads and privacy issues are arising.And for the first time since 2008 I feel like I'm in a walled garden fillled with stinkweed.

I dunno, I’d say the new Siri is the biggest feature - it certainly accounts for the majority of the advertised changes.
Personally I’m more interested in the across-the-board performance improvements. Sometimes updates are boring but necessary.
