Ah, you're right, I thought the article ended earlier than it did. It pivoted in the center so I thought I was reading something elae.
Also, I think I agree that they know what they're getting into. Maybe the more contentious topic is whether they should be allowed as official charities that get money from the government through Gift Aid.
