There's plenty he can do. For starters, there are lots of issues with the UK's privatised water infrastructure. This could either be brought back into public ownership, or the government could put more pressure on these companies to maintain the infrastructure to address all the leaks. Also the last major dam built in the UK was back in 1975, so the government could invest in new dam projects.

It's a point I've been trying to make for a long time: there is no good way to meet even 10% of current demand for animal products. They trash the living world, whichever way you do it. If you want to reduce your impact, switch to a plant-based diet

The project is only profitable for Equinor because the UK taxpayers would shoulder almost all of Rosebank’s development cost.
