Barnet Council will not remove a controversial parklet in Hendon – despite opposition claims the move is “a no-brainer”.

The decision to allow the renewal of a licence for the space at 134 Brent Street came during a cabinet member on Tuesday.

One person claims the park never gets used. The next person says there are always people hanging around it, and that bothers him. These people can't even get their stories straight.

Typical "driver begs for all things to be sacrificed to the alter of parking" story. Wide pavements? why not parking? Tree? parking! Restaurants? houses? office buildings? But the purpose of a city is to maximise local parking!
