I've got a couple as pets. They are genuinely wonderful little desk companions. My spider that recently passed gave me, let's not say new, but refreshed, perspective on the intelligence and self-awareness of arthropods.
Oh, that's just for play time with random jumping spiders I found. I think my brother had some Phidippus at one point, but I never "kept" jumping spiders myself. I kept tarantulas years ago, but these days I'm much better with true spiders.
I don't think so. Jumping spiders are very intrigued by phone lenses. I'm pretty sure this one is more curious than scared. A scared jumping spider will usually jump away.

They pretty much only eat live-food, so mine hunts crickets, and the really little ones get wingless fruit flies.
No need to get them on your screen.

Though it was my friend, I am was maybe not it's friend. I think it posed so well because it was defending itself / doing a display of aggression.
