"Run" implies that these idiots have some kind of plan when they're pretty clearly just flailing through day to day, but otherwise no shit it is Vanity Fair, and fuck you for trying to downplay it
Also, the title is a reference to a book the author apparently expects us to be familiar with, which also sucks because the book in question is a dusty old piece of hateful garbage

Also, I was scrolling through past episodes, thinking "they have to do Liberal Fascism, they have to do Liberal Fascism...." and yep, there it is.
If they didn't do it, I was set to find their contact info and plead with them to do that....I cannot tell you how many conservatives/Libertarians would insist I need to read it. It was like their newest go-to (for Libertarians, at least for a while, even supplanting Ayn Rand's absurdly bad sci-fi) that supposedly set everything straight and put all the libz in their place.
And holy shit, everything about it was just as fucking stupid as the title itself. I'm not even sure I read it all the way through. I usually hate leaving a book as "DNF", but I know I started to skim because that nepo baby is just not very smart in my view.

Yeah I spotted the reference. And Buckley was someone we are supposed to believe was a "reasonable" conservative. If people thought having little Eichmanns sitting in classes, recording professors in order to try to snitch on them and get them fired was something new, they should reflect on people like Buckley, who wrote that in 1951.
This is the guy well-known for calling Gore Vidal a queer on live television and then threatening physical violence.
