My partners favorite protein is ribeye. Made her one for our anniversary, saved the spinalis in our freezer for a while for this one. Reverse sear on the smoker. Made a rub that's a blend of chile powders, rosemary, coffee, and some other good stuff. Finished temp of 133°F which is perfect for a ribeye imo.

Hey, I zoomed in to get a good look at the juicy goodness and... that's not a steel wire sticking out of your steak, is it? I sure as hell hope not. Perfect spot for it, right in the middle of a grill track...

Actually speaking of - great time to plug the safest way to clean grill grates. I use a wad of aluminum foil between tongs to scrape, that way there's never any danger of metal bristles from those cheap grill brushes being left behind.

I'm unironically relieved! It still looks like a great steak. I'd just pick the hair off and eat it, me. Seriously though, sounds like you had a good anniversary, and I'm glad. Maybe one or the other of us should make a more public PSA about the dangers of wire scrubbers on the grill?
