"Oh, didn't we discuss this the other day? I told you I was waiting for (access to an account/dataset/personnel) I should be hearing back from them soon though."
I have built so many tools to keep track of different tasks. I’m actually starting to find my groove and I’m missing less and less, but it took years before I got to that point.
Oh, sorry, I guess it's less of a plugin and more a templatr + dataview js hack. I think I also had to edit the scripts to fix a few issues and make it behave well with folder notes, but I don't quite remember because it was years ago.
Happens all the time. Just be honest. Although I have the security of being in a job where I'm pretty sure nothing is going to happen to me unless I willfully kill someone or take cocaine at work or something. There are people who have been caught doing borderline fraud/double billing at work or leaving work quietly half way through the work day regularly; and the organisation's response was "we told them not to do that again". A missed task doesn't get anyone in trouble.
I had way too much going on to keep up with my emails. Then I went on holiday for 2 weeks and had a really busy time at work for 2 weeks with no time to check emails. Since then I've had a constant backlog of 500+ emails I haven't even looked at. I've set up a filter to put emails from my bosses and critical senior people into a seperate folder and answer these emails. Besides this I basically haven't even looked at anyone else's email for over 6 months. Nothing bad has happened so far so I guess it really doesn't matter that much if I check my emails and ignore all those tasks coming through there.

Because in most areas of the world, the driver's seat is on the left, shown in the inverted picture. In japan (original image) the driver's seat is on the right.
"Haven't had any movement on that recently. Unfortunately, I need some info from insert name of someone on leave and they're away right now. I'll ping them once they get back."
Yeah, happened to me some weeks ago. What a great feeling. My work is done now, but I can't test. I can't even access the server this is supposed to run on, and the firewall blocks all traffic to the target system ... and it's due next week 💕
I have a team lead (mini-boss) who constantly puts me on the spot and I hate it. Acts like I should have everything memorized and that the job is everything. Fuck that, I'm going back to learning about random Marvel villains
i got a “you need to be better at reminding ppl when you are waiting on them.” i looked up the task in salesforce. it was never in my queue and only in his. i told him, “you and two other mgrs have two meetings a week to review queues, do you just never look at your own?”

I have a github-like issue tracker in my obsidian vault; combined with a calendar, it's made a big difference

Can you share the plugins if theyre available? I'm interested in something like that for Obsidian

Anyways, there are many takes on issue trackers for obsidian, but this is the one I built off of https://github.com/ljavuras/obsidian-power-tools/tree/main/Issue%20Tracker

Why does the meme look better when facing to the left?
