The discourse around the Israel-Palestine thing has reached a very specific nadir.
I got harangued by strangers while I was out because my mobility scooter is an Israeli brand.
I get it. I do. But there aren't that many alternatives for mobility aids that actually do what I need them to do. Please do not shout at me for using the scooter I've owned for ten years.
I wish these people would go place their energies at where it matters - Malcolm Turnbull + Peter Garrett for approving Chevron in Australia who enabled this conflict. But no, lets target the vulnerable instead. I'm so sorry for the suckage.
I'm not getting involved in the Israel / Palestine conflict discussion but randoms having a go at you for the brand of your scooter is taking it too far and you shouldn't have to deal with that at all.
His followers, though, have done some terrible things in the name of faith. When formal religion enters the picture, common sense and compassion flies out the window. I think this is deliberate, and has been through history. One of the reasons I don't approve of puritan religion in any form, including my own.
Ooo I'm stuffed, but not exhaustipated. Mostly weighing and packing frozen food, and chipping in in production where needed. I like finishing at 2.30-3.00pm, I can still enjoy the arvo and I don't feel shitty about being on the phones because I didn't even see a single phone today looool just three of us weighing and packing for our lives
Also no regrets about the boots, especially with the "tradie" socks I bought, super comfy, barely an inconvenience.
Did get a lil sus when my pack room supervisor said it was a trial shift. I think she was mistaken, as far as my contract is concerned, I am an employed casual lol
And yes I will! I've been reading up on my rights as a casual, I've never been casual before so I need to know ofc. I suspect I'll be alright, my coworker has there almost a decade, but I'll definitely be wary of that thank you! ๐
Also I'm glad your boy got a new job! Give him my congrats!
So having to start early, I'm grateful my anti-sads regulate my circadian rhythm and get me up at 5am.
I was practicing lifting 15kg boxes yesterday, filled a box with some big books lol. Not as heavy as I thought it would be, so I hope I do well today ๐
Pace yourself. Also, moving big weights should be pushed not pulled. Use your BIG muscles (thighs, upper arms) to push weights (up or down) - and your hands for grip and keep your back straight as much as possible. You will be exhaustipated by the end of the day, stiff but hopefully not sore.
I refreshed a garden bed and put in a few new plants this winter. Mostly natives, hopefully they have had enough time to develop roots before the El Niรฑo hits. I am expecting casualties though.
I failed weigh in today. Up 1kg. Could've been the custard tart...the party pies...the ice cream....the half a bag of peanut puffs....the bacon fettuccine....I will do better this week.
That's not a failure. Those treats help keep you on track the rest of the time. As long as your weight goes down monthly you're doing fine. EDIT: I had potato cakes & onion rings for lunch then hungry jacks for dinner yesterday. I needed some trash.
I've been travelling and haven't been game to get on the scales since I got back on the weekend! Gonna give it another day or two back on the wagon first. You got this ๐ช๐ป
Weighing up whether a $9-12k medical tourism trip to China would be worth it. A week and a bit of intensive multi-disciplinary workup that would take years of waiting in Australia. It doesn't sound too bad, actually. The hardest bit is getting the initial appointment.
Dins tonight was supposed to be greek lemony rice with chicken - refer Nagi. But I forgot to put the rice in the tray. Still tasted great. Just no rice.

These people are not following the teachings of the most famous and influential Palestinian in history.

Then put it back.
Can't put it back until a nu fence is built.. neighbour is already difficult.
Right before a 1/1000 El Niรฑo..

Book Review.
Babylon Berlin by Volker Kutscher
book 1 of a running story about Berlin society at the time of rising Nazi power
Well written and interesting
5 hobbits
I have now started book 2 , The Silent Death.
I think when I have finished reading I will read it again because there is so much going on it's easy to miss things.
