::: spoiler spoiler I was looking forward to series diverging from the books enough to tell a somewhat different story, but the price in stupid is too high. The fucking magic room that's AI or maybe it's someone's voice, with the spectrum analyzer visualization on a magic floating screen can like instantly smell cortisol on a person's breath? The script is too directionless and meandering for something that demands so much suspension of disbelief. Also, it insists upon its characters being deep and having real dillemas, but it boils down to them staring straight ahead for a long time before doing the stupidest thing possible. I had just about finished all books in the time it takes to watch three seasons and it was much more engaging. :::

I haven't read the books, but I have enjoyed most of the show including season 3. I wasn't the biggest fan of the first 4 episodes because of the memory loss, but there at least was a bigger reason behind it. I also am enjoying the past story on how we got here. The only part I don't understand is
::: spoiler spoiler Just because they cut off the gas how does that mean they are ok? They even said before they can cut off food by not letting it grow and let them run out of food so idk why they are not doing that here. :::

Memory loss drug is also a subplot that's absent from the books and I feel it's crammed in without its implications being examined.

I despised the flashbacks. They’re like a boring narrator giving you exposition instead of letting the existing characters unravel the mystery. Glad i dropped it after halfway through season three because those same dullards have a preposterous role in season four.

Gave up after the dumb generator subplot. As usual, the director murdered the story.
