Listen, you probably won't believe me. But we don't make ANY money from the Instagram feed. I just like taking photos, it's a fun hobby and I enjoy sharing.
I try to avoid linking to the Instagram. It's possible I've never done it on Lemmy... (But please don't fact check me here, it's possible I've slipped up at some point)
All I'm saying is our motivations here are pure, I enjoy taking photos and showing them off.
Even if you were shilling for yourself, what’s the problem? Half of Lemmy is about tech products that are fellated and promoted across multiple instances. At least that money would be going to YOUR pocket, not some faceless ghoul representing the guy with his boot on our necks.
