I feel this all too well. Lost my 18 year old kitty to kidney disease and all kinds of other comorbid stuff in june.
It hurts for a long tine, but slowly dims after a while. Now I miss her but I know she’s not suffering with anything now. She can rest comfortably.
Hang in there friend. Treasure the joy you two had.

My little guy is just past 10 and has kidney disease too. Has been given the "hospice" diagnosis twice now and he's still going.
So so sorry for your loss, I understand how helpless it can feel.
