I appreciate the response as it was quite confusing what was going on.
I will say I find it interesting you are calling my use of mildlyinfuriating@lemmy.world as not being open/the problem, but isn't the isolation (setting as private) infosec.pub more of a walled-garden and less open? I can freely share the link of the community post I made even if it is hosted through cloudfare.
I've been on Lemmy a while now. Moved here during the first great migration (aka API-gate), and I imagine mildlyinfuriating@thelemmy.club didn't exist when I subscribed to lemmy.worlds community or maybe there were only 3 people in it. Surely the expectation is not to keep monitoring all my communities and check if a better version of said community pops up. Also, as an end user that is on Lemmy because I want a non techbro place to read news topics/share crap going on when appropriate, like yesterday this type of stuff explains very clearly why Lemmy is and will continue to be a ghost town in comparison. The barrier to entry/understanding is up there which is not welcoming imho.
I picked infosec.pub as a 'non lemmy.world' instance because the growing pains of the migration influx and most users signing up there. I thought it made sense to join somewhere outside the main instances, and being in IT / dealing with infosec in my life I thought "that makes sense".
I get this is a big boy world and I have blocked instances that do not align with my opinions and after reading the attached thread, protecting the instance is top priority so I understand the temporary use of private instance, but that was 4mo ago now.
Again, as an end user not playing politics of instances/communities (or trying not to) it's hard to keep up. I did search before posting but did not use the search term 'anonymous' I was focused on terms like 'login' or 'access' and the like and missed anonymous and that post. I was in fact not a member of this community until I was searching to figure out why my post was not directly sharable using the icons within my app/browser. If it's appropriate to share the community links, why does the link button not list that? OR why is there an option in the share to share instance link or community link? This, is of course a rhetorical question I don't expect you to have that answer but it is yet another 'barrier to entry' that even after 3 years is biting me.
Well, if that turns out to be the case, the relationship between us will end. If the world isn't quite as terrible as you assume maybe it will ? I have hope they will see/read it. I will include this thread as well.
The solution seems easy enough, don't buy or rent anything from Sony until the issue is resolved.
This is fixable if consumers band together. Nobody needs to game on a PlayStation (or play GTA on PC/PlayStation), we need water, food, shelter not GTA6
As I said in another comment, I already have an email to send them once I get tracking confirmation (just in case they're petty enough to take some action). But I want them to know the email is from an actual customer not an internet troll.
I've ordered from them a number of times, we like their product, the image above is new, I am 100 % sending them the email
And if they respond appropriately I'll remain a customer, if they keep it as is and/or do not respond, they will be dead to me.
Benefit of the doubt here a bit, companies sometimes do dumb things where not everyone or the right someone is aware.
I assume you have to have some recourse with them? I mean every carrier is gonna have problems, I seem to have way more issues having items shipped to me via FedEx.
But it's not like if I'm watching it (which just happened) and I can see it's sitting at some FedEx hub I'm gonna chargeback the company. After it's there a week or more I'll be reaching out to the "carrier" and the vendor to see what they can do to help start a trace or whatnot, but as I said at some point I'll cut my losses and if the vendor won't make it right I'll chargeback.
I think I've never had to do one honestly, so clearly generally things have gotten worked out for me, but I'm not adding package protection to my order.
If it's only $1.65 they should just eat that, or adjust their shipping costs. If the total shipping was $1.65 more I'd probably bitch, but pay and move on.
What they are doing will most likely prevent me from ordering again. I ordered for two reasons, I wanted more hot sauce but I want them to see how many times I've ordered from them which is multiple.
I want them to see this has negative results, not just some guy on the Internet sending hate mail after seeing this post.
I appreciate your comment, but are you saying of the 2% lost packages they've all been for people that had coverage, therefore covered, or that UPS has covered all lost packages regardless of insurance?
If I order something and don't get it, you can be sure I'm not eating that cost. I will do a chargeback if it's not resolved appropriately.
Ya, I've seen this trend of package protection being available more and more, but this is by far the scummiest I've seen. This IMHO is almost criminal.
They can for sure work, but as others have said you need room. When we built our house we put no tub in the master bathroom just a monster shower which fully supports our no door life.
Video shows smoke, and an explosion. It does NOT, in fact show the lightening strike triggering it. I clicked mainly to see lightening striking and was disappointed.
I still haven't seen any clear footage of the timeline of events / who did what first etc... But if they (Argentina player(s)) came over and instigated a fight after the game as this article alludes to, they should be banned for at least one season. This shouldn't be acceptable and consequences should be handed out. They've been given way too much leeway across the board for their antics.

That my opinion
Ya same, this was just a one up level of trying to trick people into getting it

Whistle blowers is probably a better description here
So, I'm glad I'm not the only one...
I despise the hiccups, and do nothing else until I can get rid of them.
Holding my breath and drinking while continuing to hold my breath works pretty well for me if I can't straight up will them away!
My family thinks it's funny how much I hate them.
They can for sure work, but as others have said you need room. When we built our house we put no tub in the master bathroom just a monster shower which fully supports our no door life.
Same, we were sharing with my father-in-law who lives like 10min from here, and he was cut off.
This is exactly why everything ever shipped to me by fedex is late.
I used it a long time ago (like 2017) and saved me some good money, but I also did not use my skymiles account just in case.
I felt like it got less effective at finding the types of flights like the one I took and stopped trying.
It's definitely a bit of a pain because you gotta book two one-way flights

You live a different life than I do...
I actually lol'd
I find it fascinating you're interested enough to engage twice here, but won't just read the article?
