Yes, every animal I've ever had was a rescue!

She was a stray that someone had brought in and I just fell in love immediately. She's incredibly skinny right now. My other cat in part maine coon and a very big gal, not really fat but just much larger than this one.

I had a maine coon! She was small for a maine coon, but she was massive compared to non-MC cats.

Yeah, so am I. But the commenter could just ask in a neutral way first. What is the OP supposed to answer now if they bought the cat? It kind of puts them in a bad light in that case and I don't think that's necessary.
