Is there anyone who can watch a show based on their own profession or area of expertise without finding it excruciating and cartoonish in how it represents it?
Regardless of the accuracy, however, FAM is very good storytelling and with some great cinematography.

I love this fucking show, it's excellent science fiction

Dunno. I'm still pretty disappointed with the whole slapdash wife tryst thing (no spoilers?). Felt so hackneyed and his behavior afterwards was consistently shitty writing/acting. 🙄

Seems like most of his criticism has to do with how the characters act, not with the science. Aside from the suits not looking like they're pressurized, he only had good things to say about the science

Huh! That makes it much more likely for me to watch it then.

It's kinda been that since the beginning I think? I've always described it as "a soap opera at NASA" to friends when telling them they should watch it.

I really enjoyed this show but I also was floored when no one spoke Russian. Every astronaut who works on the ISS today is required to speak both Russian and English. I guess I can see not requiring everyone to speak Russian if it's an adversarial relationship, but imagine not making sure at least one member of the crew spoke it!
