I can't believe no one's mentioned the solar eclipse today

https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2023/where-when/

It's this Saturday. It's going to cut through the US, part of Central America, and South America.

It's not a lunar eclipse, it's an annular solar eclipse.

Not as exciting as a regular solar eclipse. The moon is in a farther position of its orbit to not be able to fully cover the sun.

I don't know, annular is different so there is that.

I've seen full eclipses, (probably 3 or 4 since I was little), this will be my first annular. I jubhappen to live where it'll pass.

Besides, we got a real one coming up in like 6 months.

D'oh! In my defense I was really tired when I wrote that.

On and off rain here in my part of the south and constantly cloudy skies. Won't be able to see a thing either. :/

Oh trust me I have been telling everyone with ears to listen about it. I expect some nut jobs to call it the end times.
