Me, sharing Star Trek with my wife, as she’s nodding off halfway through.

(Not my opinion, that's my jam)

I like that the implication is that it's also Odo's jam.

Love that song, lol

Are you my dad, who wanted to watch star trek instead of going out for your anniversary?

Neato@kbin.social · 6 pts · 2y

Try lower decks. Definitely the most accessible. The new live series I've found easier as well.

I'm not worried. I already know they're enjoying the lotr extended edition marathon. Who doesn't?

God I hate that.

Or, “oh! This part is so good!”

Just shut up and let me watch it.

My roommate is the worst when it comes to this. I don't wanna know what this scene is a reference of. Just let me watch, motherfucker! I do like to discuss movies and get nerdy about them, but only after I finish watching it. I've told him so many times, it's honestly insufferable.

And then he'll start scrolling through his phone 10 minutes in whenever someone else suggests a movie. He's a good friend, but God do I hate watching anything with him.

I can't stand watching film with anybody. I shush them as soon as they start talking, even if there's no dialogue happening. I just can't divide my focus like that. But even worse is when people pause the movie to explain things.

I'm getting mega Weird Dreams vibe for anyone of a certain age who had an Atari ST or Commodore Amiga.

I wonder if there's a name for this style of art?

deus@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Surrealism, perhaps?

PhobosAnomaly@feddit.uk · 2 pts · 2y

Good enough for me. I can write my entire knowledge of art and crafts on the back of a cigarette packet, so that's a great start to go from! Cheers!

Also was on Commodore 64.

It’s from the album Bury the Hatchet by the Cranberries.

Jake_Farm@sopuli.xyz · 8 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Anyone know the artist that made this?

whatsisface@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 2y (2 replies)

This is the album artwork for The Cranberries' Bury the Hatchet

It's a little obtuse, don't you think? Not exactly a subtle message it's sending.

MargotRobbie@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 2y

Literally me making sure the rest of Lemmy enjoy my latest movie, now also available on streaming.

Why else do you think I'm everywhere here?

squiblet@kbin.social · 4 pts · 2y

Hmm, I need to be careful next time I make someone watch The Prisoner.

Why does the cosmic horror eye have two scleras

samus12345@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Apparently it's a weird ring that changes shape depending on how open the eye is:
