Finally a solid race for Stroll, hope he can keep it up for the rest of the season.

I haven't watched F1 since Jacques Villeneuve won the championship (mid-late 90s?) - is Stroll the first Canadian since?

Nicholas Latifi is also Canadian, he drove from 2020 till 2022.

But stroll has been driving since before Latifi was in and after so yes he’s the first since Jacques

Was it though? Stroll had the upgrade package and still struggled to match Alonso pace running on Qatar-spec before his car failed...

Happy for the team it looks like the upgrades helped relative to the field, but much work for Stroll still needed.

I am not saying he is matching Alonso, that would be a fantastic result. No I am saying for Stroll it was a solid race after a lot of “bad luck” ;)

I actually stand corrected, the data is showing he was putting down lap times near Norris's. Pretty decent indeed.

First time looking at one of these in a while but unrelated thought - are moneygram/oracle getting their money's worth with whatever sponsorship dollars they're paying to be part of the official name? I never hear or see them referenced in that way.
