My little Baphomet statue says hello :)

Sorry for the quick post and then delete. Uploading through Jerboa rotated the image for some reason!

It's an issue with Lemmy and the way it imports images.

Yeah, I don't think Jerboa respects image orientation metadata and I believe it's a proper bug because I saw another user mention the same thing. I asked them to submit an issue on GitHub, but I don't know if they did or not. I'll double check.

Cute Baphomet!

Love it! Where'd you get it?

He'll pop up if you search "Baphoboo" (lol) on Amazon. I think there were a few different listings last I checked.

To be honest, there are a lot of these words and phrases associated with Baphomet that I have a great difficulty understanding. I feel like someone really needs to make an ELI5 with these, because for whatever reason my brain just can't pick them up...even with an article like this. Another one I have trouble with is the "as above so below" phrasing that is associated with Baphomet with the symbiology of its hand position. The only basic understanding I can make out of them is that they both seem to represent opposition and balance, as well as just generally referencing occult practices. But beyond that I struggle to understand the deeper meaning. I do appreciate Baphomet as a symbol of Satanism tho and so that's why I have the statue.
