Well I assume it's painful as fuck because finger tips are very sensitive and pretty close to the bone.
Also maybe it's illegal for tattoo artists to do that in some places because I guess it can mess with finger prints ? It's only 2 fingers out of 10 though so that would be weird.

I think they did each letter roughly a centimeter past the joint. The problem is that the joints don't line up
