It looked in what they showed F2P. Super sad, just another way of killing off the Maxis games. Hopefully Paralives will be coming out soon to save the genre

And that "life by you" one as well. Love seeing competition on the genre.

data-informed player-centric player purchase journey - maximizing value to players, optimizing player spend patterns, and minimizing player churn.

While I already expected a f2p sims game to be mtx hell, this seems like optimized mtx hell. And potentially a GDPR violation with the whole data-informed thing? Depending on what they mean by it

All yours, I'm good.

Will it have pools on launch?

Black_Gulaman@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 15 pts · 3y

no but they have micro transactions to get to have a chance to unlock it in an RNG box

I mean is it really free to play if they release so many expansions again?

in-game marketplace of content and [user-generated content] (free and paid)

I wonder how much free user-generated content there will be?

As in the past modders (i.e. users) generated an incredible amount of content for free, but I suppose if they were allowed to distribute that it would destroy the monetisation of the free-to-play game.

Without a price of entry, there will be even more DLCs and piecemealing.
