Hello,
I found a used Miller Falls #9B for a good price. However, the iron is really used.
The tip of the blade is almost all the way to the screw hole on the iron.
I am a beginner woodworker and I am not sure where to find a replacement iron for this plane.
It seems like Millers Falls part are out of make (or i might be wrong).
So where can i find a replacement iron?
Thanks

Try Lee Valley, they offer irons in a variety of widths.

Can I just use any iron with the same width and thickness? It's the first time I have to replace an iron.

I think you'll be able to judge if it would work. This iron will be a tad thicker but that's not a problem.

How handy is that? You can just bring along the old one to make sure the slots will agree.

If it takes a regular Stanley 2" iron there's a few modern makers that offer new blades, e.g. veritas/lee valley, hock, etc. eBay is also an option, as is harvesting it off a used No. 4
