Hegel was more idealist but Marx based his dialectic off Hegel's and applied it to the material world, thus becoming the material girl.

But yeah Hegel Marx and Nietzsche are often grouped together since they all had broad critiques of modernity from different angles.

1985 might have been the peak of human civilization
