The article keeps referring to people becoming I’ll from the dust and passing out, and maybe that’s true, but it seems more likely that everyone was just getting heat stroke- there was almost no water and it was humid and over 90. There didn’t seem to be enough people or cars to cause the “dust storm” conditions reports at the time described.
