I don't think it's actually that far divorced yet. Remember that Lemmy's userbase has been predominantly left-leaning/queer/etc. A large portion of users who moved to Lemmy were probably part of 196's culture on reddit. The posts I see doing well on 196 are the same style as the ones that did well on reddit.
It's possible that an avalanche of users takes over the culture, but so far it hasn't happened. As long as we gain users slowly we can brainwash them into being boykissers.

196 has also migrated over to tumblr, and it seems to be flourishing and keeping its own culture.
I’m sure each platform influences the community dynamic in their own way, though
