These asphalt coloured dividers on the Lawson St bridge (Redfern Station) that are pretty much invisible at night

My first complaint post! I know that the roads authority is watching this thread. It's also a 'On a bridge but not a bridge' post. Two birds and all that. I saw someone drive up onto this last night and yeah pretty much title.

They should of put those little yellow square things that glow on it or something. This does not look like it would pass Australian standards.

I would think that should have painted white edges like you see on traffic islands, not just the white lines next to it. I can see someone missing that on a dark night with some rain. Hopefully people only get a bit of curb rash and not something worse.

I think they've only been there a couple of weeks but still, pretty dangerous. I wonder if I can Snap, Send, Solve this. Gonna try.

Edit: Report sent. Too easy. Let's see what happens.

Now that is poor design.

Yeah that seems like a poor design choice

What makes you think the "roads authority" watches these threads?

maniacalmanicmania@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Because they're ahead of the curve (or bend in the road), just like us.

“Streets ahead”, if you will.
