The other option would have been to buy that tape that you put on your windows so the birds don't see their reflection anymore, but I was a teenager living with my parents at the time and we couldn't afford it. We also tried blocking off the windows with cardboard, but the bird would just move to a different window.

EAC sucks and can be bypassed with minimal effort. I've gotten Sea of Thieves running on a virtual machine despite EAC.
