I read little lore bits here and there, heard from friends about various things on it. Never really got into it on my own.
2023 or so hits. I loved Baldur's gate 3, played Wasteland 3, needed more CRPG style games. Played 40k: Rogue Trader...and down the rabbit hole I went.
Space marine 2 beat, Boltgun started, rogue trader beat maybe 3 times, finished with most animations on Warhammer TV, read all the Eisenhorn/Ravenor novels, read the Bequin books out so far, pre-ordered Owlcat's Dark Heresy game.
I lucked out and I guess I just get to get into this right in the middle of a high point. There's SO. MUCH. CONTENT to consume.
I think you're being downvoted because, although facetious in comparison because of it's clearly inflammatory and directed-hate kind of nature, the Bible and Mein Kampf both pose terrible ideas and concepts for any young mind. The murder/rape/incest/genocide/slavery-justifying stuff is all over the place, sprinkled in with stuff about how to be a good person.
Maybe if it wasn't currently the main religious text now hopelessly tied to the political right of the nation (and not even getting into the uniquely extreme version of protestantism the US has compared to the rest of the world) and actively being used as justification for shitty beliefs/actions/legislation, I could see your point about having it as a text to study, but also probably only in the final years of high school if not just for college, and with religious studies professors/experts and not Mr. Bortner the P.E./history teacher that also coaches the football team.

I could imagine a higher caliber hunting round going through a brick wall when pointed at it, but it should be rare to have a high caliber rifle loaded with high caliber rounds off-safety and able to be misfired by a child/dog/freak accident.

Live in the north where southerners flee to for jobs (still a shitty Red state) and the range is a regular for gun people. When I had friends that shoot, it was an every or every other weekend thing for the cheap shit, once month take out something nice to shoot that costs a little.

Judaism is in a fun boat where it's ethnicity and culture, so I say this next statement while knowing the above l:
People don't dislike the Jewish faith for circumcision. They dislike Jewish people who adhere to nonsensical and harmful traditions. Someone's religion holds no bearing to me as far as the denomination itself, it's what they choose to carry forward. I had Muslim friends in college who I'd get into disagreements with, because some of them genuinely believed some backwards shit about women. Some didn't, and I was closer with those that didn't. I don't dislike those people who thought differently than me, but I did like them less, if only because they were letting their culture/tradition get in the way of facts and modern sensibilities.
You can continue to practice whatever fundamentalist beliefs you choose, know that people are often judging the act and not the religion as a whole, at least, that's been the case when I've dived deeper with people who express it.

I don't know, i've NEVER seen a believable performance from Dwayne Johnson. But John Cena and Bautista have both really dug down and widened their range. The rock does the same movie, same shirt, same stupid Kevin Hart addition, constantly. The guy from The Run Down is the same as the guy from fast and furious is the same from gridiron gang.
Some of us grew up with that same belief set about ourselves.
I think theres a lot of opportunity to say that kind of thing kindly to a friend or person. As someone who's working on not seeing herslef as bad just because I exist, the fact that you're working towards fixing that internal bias helps on that journey for anyone traveling it
