Someone's probably tried bugging you with it, but I figure I ought to ask anyway: have you tried Beyond All Reason? Feels much more in line with what I'd hope for from a TA successor.
Yeah, Overwatch definitely wasn't a peak, but IMO HOTS is really onto something. I originally dumped thousands of hours into Dota 2, which is a much more robust game, but HOTS really does take an awesome, albeit different direction. Shame they pulled support right when they were starting to find a groove. My partner and I still play it nearly daily.
Songs of Conquest. Had a weird relationship with it at first, almost like I wanted to dislike it, not sure why. I would think "this is so plainly gamified, the map is cartoonish in its resource implementation, the building feels constrictive..."
That said I've kept coming back to it. Something about the high fidelity pixel art, the clarity of its gameplay, the choices it forces, all of it started to really hook me. Even the combat, which first came off to me as insanely swingy, now just feels much more intensely tactical. Sure there are ways to abuse it, but all in all, even the AI is pretty decent (though the autoresolve logic is complete trash).
With the community mods and honestly solid gameplay even with the base factions, I have to say I really recommend it at least for a try to everyone.
Good times, except the "online" for us was invariably at LAN parties with adhoc SC Broodwar tournaments, Halo CtF & FFA, and WoW Alterac Valley shenanigans.
Love these books, some get a bit wild, but my daughter's been pretty hooked on Mrs. Tittlemouse for a good year now. I can probably recite it by memory.
I have to say though, that last graph about "Views on AI Improve with Use" seems extremely disingenuous. It's just indicating that those who use it more tend to have a positive opinion of it, not that "Views Improve". Naturally AI fans are going to use the damn thing. I can only hope that the propaganda doesn't take hold and that the zoomers continue rejecting "AI" normalization.
Agreed. I saw it come up and was going to let it run while I worked, but I decided to wait, definitely want to sit back and enjoy when I have the chance.
I'd provide a plug for LMS! If you don't give much of a damn for music video type stuff, it's pretty solid and exposes more metadata through the Subsonic API than Navidrome does. My use case required Composer tags in addition to the usual smorgasbord. Bonus is that it combines SUPER well with Symfonium and is compatible with Audiomuse AI.
All that said, I would switch over to Jellyfin for music if they upped their music metadata game and made genre exploration a bit easier (assuming you have hundreds of distinct genre tags like I do).
Gotta throw this into the ring: Mononoke's OP is kickass OP. It's ED is also gorgeous. It's a beautiful anime - definitely a strong horror aspect, but it's just beautiful through and through.
I use Redshift right now and I would LOVE to have something nice and flexible like that. Come to think of it, some halfway reliable documentation would be nice too.
Somehow ctrl+f failed to find this one, but Path of Exile is probably my drug of choice there. While I raked in 1k hrs with Dota2, I'm not sure I"d recommend it unless you really want to sell your soul to MOBA life. And it's not quite to 1k yet, but honorable mention must go to Satisfactory as it's well on its way to being game #3 in the 1k+ list with me.
Interestingly, when I was doing some research on the European cultural shift from Humanism to the Enlightenment, I recall some sources (forgive me, at work and not able to refer to them) suggesting that living in and around Roman ruins greatly lent itself to the Christian narrative that the people were living in a "last age of decay" just prior to the apocalypse. So technically pre-apocalypse, but more or less on the nose
That's cool as hell to hear. The cynic in me is a bit ignorant of Swiss law and corporate behavior therein but is sure that at some point some douchebag will figure out a way to weasel out of it or push it in the direction of enshittification all over again, but it's cool to see them make this move none the less.

It'll still try, it just wouldn't have root access. It would just depend on what you allow it access to.

If I may recommend it, give Symfonium a try for an app front end. It's actually stellar. I tried Finamp with the same and wasn't as jazzed
