The issue lies with what downvotes really mean. We've all seen instances on Reddit where where downvoted to hell because it was an idea contrary to the majority of the sub/echo chamber even though they were totally valid.
If you can turn off swipe left to Google news, get a RSS feed reader, put a full screen widget on page one and all your apps on page 2. Make page 2 your default for home.

The same way Reddit mods aren't entitled to automatically become mods of the same fediverse alternative community.
