From a pure dollars and cents I think it would make more sense to put a team in the Maritimes. There a bajillion miles from anywhere AND would certainly support a team.
unfortunately this is par for the course. often professors are part of the problem too because "they got there's" and have no solidarity to the workers the perceive as lesser. as much as right-wingers complain of leftism in universities , if it was ever true in the states it certainly is not any more.
Families probably won't notice though. They have like 60 years of back catolog giving the capitalist the upperhand. It can be "Seasame Street Throwback Month" until the workers cave and parents would probably love it.
Growing up outside of the Twin Cities it would be the 1991 Stanley Cup finals. Everyone had North Star fever, even those in rural Wisconsin who hated the Twins & The Vikings. Hockey hit an all time low when only two years later #FuckNormGreen moved the North Stars south.

I can't believe people even bother with 1080P let alone 4K. Is there unlimtied bandwidth where you all live?
In my part of the world anything above 480p is just asking for a bad time, with no actual improvement on your ability to enjoy the story.
